What is Glutathione
Glutathione is a kind of amino acid complex substance found in nature and it is the most abundant small molecule thiol compound in cells. It is an oligopeptide (small molecule peptide) that composed of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine.
There are two forms exist in the body: reduced glutathion(GSH for short) and oxidized glutathione(GSSG for short). Reduced glutathion is easily oxidized and only reduced glutathion has physiological activity.
